Alexa didn't seem to care much about Ally's caterpillar discovery, but she did think she was hilarious with her Dora undies on her head!!
A Boy...
and his Barbies!! I just love to torture Brent with things like this. Given that Brent is rather in touch with his feminine side I never thought that things like his son playing with Barbies, and wearing pink shirts would bother him. The fact that it does just makes it that much more fun! Heehee.
Rainy Monday
No school for Ally today (not exactly sure why). The girls decided to make the most of the rain. After about 2 minutes though they decided they were too cold and came in to watch a movie in my bed.

A Day At The Races
We spent Ally's birthday at a steeplechase. We started the day with Jack Russel races and then the hat contest. From there we headed to our friend's tent which was right next to the track. We got to see the horses and jockeys up close as they flew right past us. Nothing like teaching our children the joys of gambling early as they placed $1.00 bets on each race. Ally won the first race with a pot of $10. She almost won twice but her jockey fell off the horse at the end!!
Party
For the 4th year Ally held her party at my work. She went with a tie dye theme. We made a couple of tie dye cakes and handed out tie dye tee shirts as the party favors.
School Celebration
We celebrated Ally's birthday at school on Friday. We read a couple of caterpillar books, sang "happy birthday" and then enjoyed a fruity pebbles caterpillar treat.

Finished Projects
Here are the photos of their finished creations. Poor Bryce didn't get to make a bear so I included a shot of him with the moose at Bass Pro Shop instead!
Pre-Birthday Fun!
Brent has always made fun of me that my birthday celebration isn't contained to just July 11th but rather extended throughout the entire month. I thought our girls should be privy to the same so we started this weekend with our 4th annual birthday trip to Build-A-Bear. Ally made a bunny named none other than "Hannah Montana" and Alexa created a bear named "Ariel". We'll continue Ally's birthday celebration throughout the week with her school party on Thursday, her friend's party on Friday and a trip to a Steeplechase on Saturday.
