First Taste of Sand

 

 

 

 

I knew sooner or later we'd have to set Bryce down in the sand. There was no doubt that he'd love it. It's just a matter of keeping sand, rocks, sticks, etc. out of his mouth.

Crafts Anyone?

 

 

Why I don't do much crafting these days!! Sometimes, I get the urge to do something creative. Today I thought I'd make a few hairbows so I pulled out my ribbon. Let's just say I didn't get too far.

Our Amazing Babysitter

 

 

Ally volunteered to watch Bryce while I was doing my hair. When I came into the living room about 10 minutes later this is what I found. When I asked her how she was able to put him to sleep (he's never fallen asleep for me without nursing) she said "he was acting sleepy so I just picked him up and snuggled him in"!!

Fun at the Party

 

 

 

 

The birthday girl celebrated her 3rd with amazing enthusiasm. She went at it strong from 6:30am till 8:00pm. It was a day filled with fun, friends, presents, food and laughter. Everything a birthday should have!

Getting Ready

 

 

 

 

Happy Birthday Alexa!! She woke up at 6:30 Friday morning and said "when does my birthday start?" Here she is getting things ready for her party and after her hard work was done she treated herself to a cheeto while she waited for her friends! We had 7 little friends come over for lunch and cake. Speaking of cake, Alexa and I made hers. I ended up with a massive cramp in my hand from piping on the frosting but it was worth it!!

Okay, so Bryce does like blocks and balls, not just Barbies! He's becoming Mr. Mobile, getting into just about everything now. Army crawling and pulling himself up to a standing position.

Aunt Judy

 

When I was little, my world revolved around 3 women: my mom, my grandma Ally and my Aunt Judy. Just wanted to send a "Happy Mother's Day" shout-out to this very special lady! We don't get to see her enough but I think of her often.

Muffins For Mom

 

 

 

 

I was treated to some Mother's Day muffins at Alexa's school last week. You can see she was very proud of the handprint plaque she created. A present I'll treasure forever!

Hero Day

Greg's girlfriend, Danielle, works at the YMCA and the kids were celebrating "Hero Day". She offered the suggestion that they make cards for Greg and the rest of his unit in Iraq. The results were some of the most precious works of art that I've seen in a long time. The last one is a picture of a mom and when the teachers asked the little girl who made it why she drew a mom she said "Well if I was that far away from my home I know that seeing a picture of my mom would make me feel better!" So sweet!
