That's right, it's official, Alexa got married last weekend. The lucky "man"- Elmo. It was a beautiful ceremony, orchestrated by none other than Ally, who was also the maid of honor!

Grandma decided that if 4 little girls could handle it, she might as well add a little bling to her own ears!!

Another Big Moment

 

 

 

 

My mom and I have been trying to talk Ally into getting her ears pierced for years now. Her answer was a definitive "Not until I'm 18." After Alexa decided to get hers done, Ally said "Well, if Alexa gets hers done and doesn't cry, I might do mine." In addition to her sister, she also had 2 good friends that wanted to take the plunge. So, off we went to Libby Lu.

Last week as we were organizing my closet, Alexa found an old jewelry box of mine. She wanted to wear some earrings which obviously couldn't be done since her ears weren't pierced. Well, she knew how to fix that. She would have ventured off that day but we convinced her to wait for Grandma to arrive. She was a trooper. She sat her little bottom in the chair and never even flinched. Hooray for Alexa!!

From Maine

 

 

 

 

Our cousins made a trip to Maine to see Greg before he left. I know it meant alot to Greg to see everyone. Couldn't resist adding along a few snow pictures!

We're waiting to hear if Greg is in Oklahoma yet. They were delayed due to a break down somewhere along the route! As a neurotic big sister, not what I want to hear!!

Oh, So Proud

 

 

 

But oh, so sad to see him go. Well, Greg and about 20 other Blackhawk pilots from Maine began their journey toward Iraq. Greg's unit consists of about 130 men and women but only the pilots left today. The rest of the until will join them in Oklahoma in a couple of weeks. By the middle of March they'll all head to Iraq. These pictures are from this past summer when John left. My mom has pictures from the send-off this morning that I'll post soon.

Horse Swing

 

 

 

We vacation at a campground in Maine every summer that has this great horse tire swing. Mama Lal bought the kiddies one just like it for Christmas. Unfortunately even though we have several trees in the yard, none of them had the right branch. Not a problem though, Brent and Grampy constructed one.
