We had a great time at our friend Ian's birthday party. In case you couldn't guess, it was a cowboy theme. The girls were thrilled to horseback ride. Alexa had just woken up from a nap so she looks abit hesitant in the pictures.

Twister

 

 

 

 

We enjoyed a family game of Twister this weekend. Given Brent's level of flexibility, it was pretty funny to watch. After the game, Ally showed us some of the moves she's learned at Hip Hop. The one pictured is the "funky grandma"! Alexa was quick to imitate.

Our weekend

Given the exhaustion that we're feeling since the arrival of Bryce, I have to admit that our weekends have been abit slow. Consequently, not making for action packed photo opportunities! Here are a few from yesterday.

Bye Grammy and Grampy

It seems like they just got here but Grammy and Grampy are heading back to Maine tomorrow. They arrived in style towing their new camper. We had no idea that we had the perfect campsite in our backyard. We sure will miss them.

He's Here

Baby Boy "Bryce William" was born September 5th, 2007!! I woke up Wednesday morning not feeling like this was his day to arrive. Little did I know!! I started by cleaning my car, headed to the YMCA with Alexa, returned home briefly to greet Grammy and Grampy, went to Charlotte to pick my mom up from the airport, had to stop at the mall to do some shopping and then arrived back home to cook dinner. It was about 6:30 and Brent had just gotten home from work when I felt the trickle of my water breaking. Due to the speed of my last 2 deliveries my family was anxious to get me to the hospital quickly. We arrived at the hospital about 7:00 p.m. and he was born at 8:04 p.m. It was an absolutely incredible experience and I was so fortunate to have my loving husband, mother, mother-in-law and father-in-law present to experience it with me. I knew my girls were in good hands at home with my dear friend, Emma, who took great care of them that night until the grandparents returned. Bryce is an angel and savors being held, especially at all hours of the night! I have to admit that this is my favorite time with him because I don't have to worry about anything except lovin' on him.

Preschool, Already?

Although Alexa is only 2, we (mostly Brent!) thought she'd love going to preschool a couple of mornings a week. I have to admit I was pretty nervous about it this morning but she did great!

Our Red, White and Blue

Uncle John landed in Kuwait yesterday, where he'll stay for about 10 days until he heads off to Iraq. We love you John and are very proud of you.

What A Belly

The girls are more than excited for the arrival of "baby brother". Due date is 9/10/07. Ally was a week late and Alexa was more than a week early, so we don't know what to expect. My mom and Brent's parents arrive Wednesday so we've been hoping to hold out until then. It's looking promising!
