No better way to beat the heat than to head to downeast Maine for 3 weeks! Actually, the cruddy weather really didn't matter. We were still able to do everything we love (and with all the people we love!). I'm so thankful we'll always have family in Maine because I can't think of a better place to summer. I know our kids will have the best childhood memories of their trips to Maine. Lots of beach trips, boat rides, Kubota rides, visits to the ice-cream parlor, strawberry and blueberry picking and little bit of shopping for mom and me! I have lots of pics to post but my computer is near it's death bed so it's going to take me awhile.

I've come to realize that all my pictures of my kids baking end the same way- with food all over their faces. Father's Day was no different. We started the day with a gourmet breakfast which included chocolate covered strawberries. Good thing we weren't sharing with anyone outside our immediate family cause lots of double dipping went on.

Another rough day for our crew. I'll never forget when Ally was 3 she told our friend that she "hasn't showered much this summer. I've mostly just been swimming!!" Well, seems the same goes for this summer. It's really the only way to stay cool around here. Fortunately, all of our kiddos are little water-bugs. The only thing better than a day at the pool is a day at the pool with good friends.

Oh does this boy love his dad! I often remind him who gave birth to him (with no epidural) and nursed him for 15 months, but he just doesn't seem to care!! This is true love.

Ally's dream job... She's lizard sitting for our friend's 12 lizards while he and his family are on vacation! Oh yeah, and Brent found her a turtle while on his way to work.
